Summary areas

The New Zealand Exclusive Economic Zone was divided into 14 areas, used for summarising the fishing effort and the protected species bycatch. These areas are available for download in an ArcGIS shapefile format. Both the figure and shape files are licensed for reuse by Dragonfly Science under a creative commons attribution license.

This summary of protected species captures in New Zealand fisheries was prepared by Dragonfly Data Science, based on data held by the Ministry for Primary Industries.
